Moss Stitch Triangle

The moss stitch triangle plays on the simple structure of the single crochet and chain. One of the first lacey patterns in crochet, these two simple stitches come together in this easy-to-crochet motif, yet elegant pattern.

Expand the motif by adding rows to the outer edge and you’ll soon find yourself with a triangular scarf and add even more you will end up with a lovely shawl. Like all other moss stitch patterns, this motif just loves to be striped. That in itself makes it an ideal stash buster.

Combine it with Moss Stitch squares or  rectangles and you can create an unlimited number of patchwork designs.
