Moss Stitch Ripple
The Moss Stitch Ripple hypnotizes the fiber artist with its undulating stripes. Learn how to crochet this super easy stitch pattern in just minutes.
This is the companion pattern for the video How to Crochet the Moss Stitch Ripple.
The pattern includes my secret method of creating the peaks and valleys. And it makes the best and easiest moss stitch ripple for 3 big reasons:
First, the fabric is firm, dense and reversible.
Second, the decrease in the valley appears identical to the increase at the peak. This allows the ripple to change direction in an even and continuous flow.
And third, and most importantly, you get into the rhythm of the stitch pattern faster. The Vs at the peaks and valleys are easy to identify. Because of this, it is really difficult to make a mistake! This is especially important for beginners.
In addition, the pattern reveals several variations to lengthen and shorten the slopes, provides the multiples of stitches so you adapt the technique quickly and laces lots of “twisties”, (TwistedYarns tips and tricks) to get you on your way fast and finish your project with professional results.
So, dive right in and start experimenting! There’s lots of variations to choose from with any effect you want! You can surely feed your crochet obsession with the Moss Stitch Ripple!
