Fan and Feather Cap pattern

The fan and feather flew the coop! This classic knit stitch pattern is almost always associated with rectangular pieces like our beautiful burgundy fan and feather scarf (available as separate pattern). For this project, we shaped and rounded the pattern to make our matching cap very practical.

A simple series of carefully engineered decreases maintain the fluidity of the stitches. The texture and elasticity of the stitch pattern work in harmony with the shaping to provide a comfortably snug fit and to coax the narrow edging into soft, subtle, flattering scallops. Use markers to keep track of the repeats in the pattern and the patterned decreases.

With little effort and virtually no finishing, our cap will just flow off your needles. A true testament to innovative circular knitting, our fan and feather cap will amaze the knitter.
