Christmas Star Frame Ornament pattern

Crochet the Christmas Star Frame Ornament and turn your Christmas tree into a collection of special moments!  While the lacy wreath-like ring seems to focus on the six point star, the star actually is designed to support a photograph. This lovely crocheted ornament frame is attractive with or without a picture.

First, simply glue a piece of foil paper to the back of a snapshot. Second, trim it into a two and a half inch diameter circle. Third, date the picture!  Fourth, insert the picture between the ring and the star. Voila! The lacy ring frames the picture while the foil makes a stunning backdrop for the star.

Although nylon thread is inexpensive and durable, it is also quite beautiful. The high gloss of the white nylon thread shimmers in the glow of the festive holiday lights and simply enlivens your captured memories. I personally use Hilo Omega nylon #2 thread for my ornaments because of the vibrant color selection available and its durability.

From year to year, ornaments made from nylon are as fresh looking as the year you made them. Plus the ornaments are unbreakable, a real plus for households with kids and pets!

Crocheted in just an evening, the Christmas star frame ornament makes a practical and thoughtful gift for those on your holiday list. You may also want to crochet its companion Christmas Wreath and Frame Ornament, too!
