Cartwheel Blanket

You’ll just flip over the Cartwheel Blanket!  Designed with the cold harsh winters of the north country in mind, this blanket is thick! So thick that we’ve included a bonus pattern! Variation 2 is of the Cartwheel blanket works up into a medium weight afghan.

Designed to easily blend into the modern home-scape, the color scheme for the afghan is neutral. In fact it is primarily all grays, browns, beiges and off-white!  Then, we chose just one color to really give it a pop! Bright yellow! But you can easily substitute other colors to suite your liking. Check out the gallery for other possibilities!

Surprisingly, the neutral colors in this blanket are all scrap yarns… that is except the border. Even the off-whites are a mix of 4 different leftover yarns! Because the deep shade of the border boldly contrasts the off-whites,  your eyes will play tricks on you and allow the off-whites to all look the same!

Or simply go scrap happy with a real mix of color.
