Celebrate Kwanzaa!
To help with the week long festivities, let me introduce our Kwanzaa couple.
The Kwanzaa man doll, Demetrius, stands just eight inches tall. Yet he dresses in traditional garb sporting a coat and cap crocheted in festive red, emerald green and black with hints of rich gold. The doll fits even the tiniest hands, so our little helper will surely please the youngsters as each day of the celebration passes.
Monica, the Kwanzaa lady, stands just under eight inches She wears a traditional robe and headdress also crocheted in the festive holiday colors of red, green, black and gold. Her braided hair, embroidered jewelry and other features give our little lady personality. Creative and imaginative, let our little Kwanzaa lady help teach the values of family this holiday season.
Dr. Maulana Karenga created Kwanzaa in 1966 to celebrate the rich culture and strong values of the African-American family. Observed from December 26th through January 1st, each day focuses on one of the seven guiding principles: Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity and Faith.
I hope these dolls bring delight and contribute to your holiday celebration.
