Busy Bee Ornament

The Busy Bee Ornament is all the buzz. Delightful as an ornament but even better when a swarm becomes a mobile in a child’s room. Each bee uses just a tiny amount of 2 contrasting colors and white and they simply fly off the knitting machine when you follow the step-by-step instructions. Even the yarn tails are strategically placed so you can use them to seam and embroider the features!

This is the companion pattern for the video How to Machine Knit the Busy Bee Ornament and includes variations for the honeybee, the bumblebee and even a baby bee.  For smaller children, we have a legless version. But for the 5 or 6 year old who have already learned about insects, we’ve added 6 legs!

Machine knit in readily available worsted weight acrylic yarn, the busy bee ornamnet washes and dries quickly and can withstand the very playful child!

No matter which version you prefer, be careful! You may just have a swarm on your hands!
