Five Point Puzzle Star
Trim a tree, decorate a sweatshirt, embellish a nametag, or turn a ceiling into the night sky! Whatever your fancy, the crocheted five-point puzzle star is ready to shine. This is the companion pattern for the video How to Crochet the Twist Tuck Twinkle Star.
With just the common chain stitch, some leftover yarn and a minute or two, you will become the master of the universe and amuse a few kids along the way.
Light colored, smooth yarns of any weight lend themselves well to the illusion. Avoid hairy, lumpy, or fuzzy yarns. Select a crochet hook at least two sizes smaller than normal for your chosen weight of yarn and work as tightly as possible. Then just follow these five easy steps and you too will understand the secret of the five-point puzzle star. Once you learn the trick, the kids will just beg you to show them again and again and again!
And the shooting star variation is even easier! That’s because the yarn tails are left dangling! Wear it on your wrist and pop it off to play! Share it with a friend and see how long it takes them to solve the puzzle.
