Sunray Edging

The sunray edging puts a great finish on your projects yet it is so easy to crochet! This edging adapts quickly to a variety of shapes and multiples. And, it can also morph into many variations.  Knowing this, this one technique will make you look simply… brilliant!

This is the companion pattern for the video: How to Crochet Sunray Edging!

Make the sunrays short, long or in between, put them close together or space them out.

I’ve included the sunray edging version with a single crochet base. This one works well on a moss stitch edge. But adaptability is key to this edging and it works well on a straight edge also. My favorite sunray is super easy to do. This variation has a double crochet base which makes it ideal for afghans with spaces along the edge. It makes turning the corners on a blanket oh, so easy!

The sky’s the limit on how to vary and adapt this edging!

Since it is perfect for any moss stitch shape, you may also want to look at the Moss Stitch Circle pattern!
