Everything Sweater
This is the companion pattern for the video series How to Machine Knit the Everything Sweater Part 1, Part 2 Back and Bodice, Part 3 Sleeves and Part 4 Finishing! This video tutorial starts with an overview in Part 1. Part 2 and 3 describe how to knit the actual sweater. Part 4 puts the whole sweater together!
The everything sweater brags to be the most versatile women’s sweater. Stylewise, the variations are limitless. Make it sleeveless or with sleeves of any length. The pattern includes variations from capped to full length sleeves and no sleeves at all.
Twist, tie, drape, pin, bunch and corral its waterfall collar to add style and pizazz!
Knit it with any yarn, on any machine and it will fit just about everyone.
Acheive additional variations by incorporating slight modifications to the lapels and lower front corners. See the variations section of the pattern.
The everything sweater relies on the drape of the knitting to adjust to the individual figure. It fits just about everyone from 5 feet tall to 5’ 10 inches. Plus, the pattern addresses how to accommodate specific figure-fitting challenges.
Since the pattern relies on just one measurement, a properly made and measured swatch is the key to success. Watch my video How to Machine Knit Tension and Gauge Swatches.
