Super Easy Slippers
The Super Easy Slipper provides a practical practice project for shortrowing on the knitting machine. Plus, when you finish, you have something useful to show for your efforts
This pattern goes back over 50 years. Then, I learned of it via word-of-mouth. Don’t laugh, we actually talked to each other back then, but over the years, handwritten notes, typed pages and mimeographed versions appeared all without credits! I sometimes think that Mother Machine Knitter put this out into the Knitting Universe to teach, share and to give herself a good chuckle with every update!
That said, this is my take on this old favorite.
To contribute to the pattern, I added step by step instruction so every beginner can follow the pattern and reach success. And then I added tips on how to and when to utilize special time saving techniques so even the experienced will find nuggets that make finishing absolutely minimal and this retro project fun!
This is the companion pattern for the video: How to Machine Knit Easy Lined Slippers. It includes 3 children’s sizes and 5 adult sizes using worsted weight yarn.
This pattern only covers the slipper section itself.
Finish your Super Easy Slippers with delightful embellishments! The I-cord flower or the machine knit pompom are perfect for the slippers! These patterns are available separately.
