Easy Valentine Hearts

Let’s put our easy Valentine hearts into much, much more!

By capitalizing on an absolutely delightful pattern, we can quickly and easily decorate for this Valentine’s Day and let our lovely heart spread our affection throughout the year.

Wondering what we can do with our little heart?

1. Join two hearts together and make a heart pouch.
2. Stuff the pouch softly and add a pin to make a Valentine broach.
3. Add a cord instead of a pin and make a little girl a soft sculptured necklace.
4. Stuff with potpourri for a scented sachet.
5. Add a cord and hang it in the closet.
6. Attach just one heart to a simple card to create an elegant Valentine.
7. Hang them on your Christmas tree for a Victorian Christmas!

Mix and match trims for your Valentines. Remember, a wide ruffle is so romantic while the removal of the ruffle accentuates the very clean design line of the heart.  And lastly, take special note of our flat and narrow cording as it is both functional and decorative.

So easy to make, with just a little time and a smidgeon of yarn, you too can create these lovely and functional Valentines. Crocheted in #5 cotton thread, it is quite inexpensive to make! They are addicting!

You’ll want them in traditional Valentine colors like cherry red, fuchsia, pale pink or white….. or go glitzy with gold and silver, or be bold with rainbow colors!
